A group of concerned citizens and quilt lovers want
to decorate Rowan County barns with quilt squares.
They want to beautify the county and make others aware of our heritage.
They would like to
encourage others to come and see the quilt squares and visit the
foothills
of the Appalachian
Mountains in Rowan County.
We welcome all visitors. Contact us at rcquilttrail@yahoo.com
if you have any questions.
The Rowan County Foothills
Quilt Square group is seeking barn nominations. The barns will be
decorated with quilt squares painted on 8-foot by 8-foot wooden panels.
The committee hopes you will join us in beautifying our county.
Similar
projects have been done in Bath, Carter, Elliott, Menifee and other Counties
in Kentucky
