Notes: The barn was originally build as a tobacco barn in the 70's by Norman Elan. Jenny Caldwell's parents, Edward and Lucille Fannin who owned the farm prior to the Caldwells used it on their active farm and raised lot of animals there. The Caldwell's inherited the farm in 2004. Jenny searched the Internet for an appropriate colorful pattern to use on their white barn. Once the selected pattern was drawn and revised, the checkerboard and stars really appealed to her. Jenny helped the painting team by selecting all the paint colors to be used. The family decided to paint the barn solid black to help show off the quilt square.
