Notes: Ruth searched the internet and found a pattern she really liked.
She thought it would look bright on their barn which is near the
highway. The Esteps have lived on the farm for about ten years. Vernon
grew up on the farm that his father Howard owned and even helped build
the barn about 60 years ago when he was a young kid. After he and Ruth
married, they lived in Dayton, Ohio for about 35 years. They returned to
Rowan County to live on this part of the Estep farm they obtained
through his father's estate.
There are a total of five quilt squares along Cranston Road - three are
on barns, one is freestanding, and one is on a school.
